Stefano Basso, AIA Promoted to Associate

Beverly, MA - SV Design is pleased to announce the promotion of Stefano Basso, AIA, to Associate. Since joining SV Design in 2009, Stefano has served in a variety of capacities for the firm and has worked on just about every project type and size. Thad Siemasko, Founder and Principal, adds, “We’re proud of how Stefano has progressed at SV Design from an intern into a key member of our management team. His hard work and can-do attitude, combined with a well-rounded skill set assure a rewarding long-term tenure with the firm.”

Stefano began his career designing single-family homes which instilled an appreciation for the type of detail and craftsmanship that makes historic neighborhoods across New England special. In Stefano’s current work on commercial and institutional projects, he strives to incorporate these traditional New England elements into building massing and cladding even in modern buildings to complement neighborhood context. Stefano works with a wide range of clients and projects including affordable housing, mixed-use development, churches, theaters, restaurants, and breweries. Stefano’s creative and dedicated team approach has consistently yielded many successful outcomes.

As an architect, he has had the opportunity to contribute to the local community in a meaningful way throughout his career. Working on the ongoing revitalization of ‘The Cabot’ since its inception in 2014 is just one example of how an individual project can impact the greater community. Stefano holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. When not in the office, Stefano enjoys creating, sharing, and (most importantly) eating traditional Italian cuisine from his family’s native Liguria.
