Lynn Museum & Arts Center Celebrates Renovation of The Studios
A new chapter is underway for one of Lynn’s longstanding creative spaces. The Lynn Museum & Arts Center recently celebrated the completion of a $2.1 million renovation to The Studios at 25 Exchange Street with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house.
SV Design partnered with the Lynn Museum & Arts Center and Groom Construction to reimagine and renew the historic arts center, creating an updated, more resilient environment for the artists, cultural organizations, and community members who bring the building to life. The project included critical building improvements such as a new roof, HVAC upgrades, fire protection, and accessibility enhancements, while preserving the character and function of a space that has supported Lynn’s creative community for more than 30 years.
The Studios is home to individual artist studios, galleries, cultural organizations, and the Neal Rantoul Vault Theater, making it an important part of Lynn’s Downtown Cultural District. The renovation strengthens the building’s ability to support this diverse community of creatives while providing a more welcoming and functional space for exhibitions, performances, classes, and gatherings.
For SV Design, the project reflects the value of thoughtful renovation: investing in an existing community asset, addressing essential infrastructure needs, and creating a stronger foundation for the people and programs that use the space every day. The ribbon cutting marked not only the completion of the renovation, but the continued evolution of The Studios as a place where Lynn’s history, arts, and creative future come together.
