Job Summary:

SV Design is looking for a full-time professional, self-motivated, and highly organized individual to join our residential interiors team in Beverly. The ideal candidate is a creative, energetic team player that is a good multi-tasker and eager to learn. In this position, you will work under the direction of mid-to senior-level interior designers. You will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with the design process within interior architecture and furnishings from conception to installation.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of residential design experience
  • Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design required
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, customer service and professional written skills
  • Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Professional work ethic
  • Comfortable with taking direction
  • Independent problem solver with good listening skills and follow through
  • Competent in all aspects of interior design
  • This is an in-office position in Beverly. Any interested candidate must be within reasonable commuting distance of this location.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship


Responsibilities:

  • Perform work requiring independent judgement in adaptation / modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Receive technical guidance from Project Manager on unusual or complex issues and project plans
  • Assist on multiple projects under the supervision of mid to senior-level designers
  • Under supervision of Project Manager draft and render plans, elevations and details for design development and construction documents including tile/stone layouts, millwork, reflected ceiling plans and electrical plans
  • Measure, documents and drafts existing conditions of spaces and furniture
  • Develop presentation materials for design and client meetings with design team
  • Produce design development drawings in CAD from CAD or hand drawn schematics
  • Assist Project Manager with design development for review, ensuring consistency with project specific design intent
  • Draft and model trim, built-ins, furniture, cabinets and technical details in presentation and construction document
  • Source and study selections for plumbing, stone/tile, decorative lighting, finishes, accessories, hardware, etc.
  • Assist Project Managers through design and contract administration phase preparing meeting notes, field reports and SKs for review of Project Manager
  • Track and maintain FF+E spreadsheets and budgets
  • Create proposals and purchase orders using Studio Designer
  • Interface with vendors and receivers to confirm product availability as well as coordinate production and deliveries
  • Assist marketing efforts with photoshoots: gathering, setting up and returning staging material
