SV was tasked with finding a tastefully appropriate solution for new guest rooms, a welcoming reception area, and improved traffic flow on the grounds of the historic Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Emulating the scale and materials of the neighboring buildings, Siemasko + Verbridge created The Tillyer House, a new building added to the property and designed to integrate with the historic fabric of the town. The building contains an additional 28 guest rooms while also improving parking and overall layout of the property. An open and accessible reception area greatly improves guests' check in experiences both visually and practically. The Tillyer House will be completed in the fall of 2018. SV Design had previously completed the restoration of the original Chamberlain House building, also part of the Publick House property.
