Siemasko + Verbridge received top honors for Best Residential - Private design at the Second Annual IIDA New England Interior Design Awards held at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. Winners in 10 categories were announced and the award focused on the design teams that made their project a reality.

Boston magazine had made their way across the Hub, Cape, Islands and the Berkshires to compile an invaluable list of the best and most exciting designers to help its readers create a magic all of their own.

Siemasko + Verbridge was among nine exceptional design firms selected to design one of the rooms at the 'Dream Home' at the top of the Boston Design Center in the spring and summer of 2007. The challenge in design is to sift through all the possibilities, and to latch onto the one common thread that unifies the imagination in a well-defined manner. In our age of complication, the trick is to eliminate visual clutter while creating a warm and inviting space. The music gallery is defined by what is within it. The walls and floors provide a strong but quiet architectural backdrop for the objects with which we could spend our lives. Exercising restraint, we filled the room with things we love: antique prints that transport the mind, a limited edition piano that entertains the spirit, and books that delight the eye and soul. We designed the room with precise simplicity, creating a serene and livable space.
