“Not your father’s yacht club” aptly describes the new clubhouse for this youth-centered organization. Founded in 1887, Pleon Yacht Club’s mission is to educate and engage North Shore youth in the sport of sailing. SV Design was charged with designing a building that would excite the community and spark enthusiasm for the fundraising required to build it. Inspired by sails, halyards, and Quonset huts commonly used for boat storage along the coast, the new clubhouse provides a fun, functional, and safe environment for junior sailors and their instructors.
