Located on the flat of Beacon Hill, this iconic 1828 building is rich in history and in period detail. Originally designed by noted Boston architect Asher Benjamin, it is one of the first buildings in a series of row houses. The new owners called on SV Design for a major renovation that would restore and elevate the building's charm, while introducing functional efficiencies for modern living. From planning to design to construction, when faced with design decisions we would ask, “What would Asher have done?”, if given today’s technology and tools. The result is a beautifully restored home that reflects our clients' personal taste and lifestyle while honoring the historic integrity of the building and the original architect's intent.
