Siemasko + Verbridge is designing the re-building of the Pleon Yacht Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Founded in 1887 by four youngsters whose boats were too small and finances too meager, Pleon Yacht Club is the oldest junior yacht club in the United States and has for many years been the cornerstone of junior sailing in Marblehead and the North Shore communities.
The new clubhouse will create a safe environment and greatly assist Pleon in running its programs. It will facilitate an improved learning atmosphere for its member/students and will provide additional space and needed facilities.

This Victorian home in Cambridge, Massachusetts was originally designed for Eugene Niles by J Merrill Brown and built by Albert Norris & Company in 1887. The design for an addition to the rear of this home was approved by the Avon Hill Historic Conservation Commission. The home is being restored to 'museum quality' by the current owner, who grew up there with his ten siblings after his parents purchased the property in 1951.
The goal is to restore it back to its original design of the late 1800s while curing the functional obsolescence of the existing home, in particular its lack of a good working kitchen and master bedroom suite. The project will include architecture, interior design, decorating and landscape design. This panoply of design services will make life easier for the long-distance owner who is frequently abroad.

Sitting atop a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this new residence adds a modern twist to the classic Shingle style. The main house and 3-car garage border one side of a large terrace with pool and spa, while the guest house rests on the other side. Designed for family living, there are large, informal gathering spaces for the clients and their children, both inside and out.
The house is anchored to the land by stone retaining walls made entirely of granite taken from the site during construction. Clad almost entirely in cedar shingles, the house will weather to a classic grey. A wrap-around porch will allow for shade from the summer sun while allowing the winter sun to penetrate. The project involves architecture, interior design, decorating and landscape architecture services that allows for a seamless feel from inside to out.

Private Residence Marblehead, Massachusetts
Renovations to this existing Tudor style residence include the addition of an attached 2 car garage and outdoor terraces. The terraces, which are being constructed off the rear of the house, will connect the first floor formal areas to the newly designed landscape below. The new design accentuates the narrow floor plan by creating views through the house to the landscape beyond. Designed to fit seamlessly with the existing house, the new garage and terraces offer modern convenience and improved circulation with aesthetically enhancing the original house.
